Planet Technology has partnered with a Santa Clara area company to locate a seasoned Golang Developer who thrives in a fast-paced, Agile environment and is passionate about building scalable backend systems.

This is a full-time role that requires at least 1-2 days a week onsite. Absolutely no Third Party calls or emails will be entertained.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable backend services using Go (Golang) within a microservices architecture.
• Collaborate cross-functionally in an Agile setting to deliver new features and enhancements for web and backend applications.
• Drive technical design discussions, contribute to architecture decisions, and help elevate the overall product experience.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and best practices to keep our solutions cutting edge.
• Participate in continuous engineering cycles with an emphasis on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Be part of a paid on-call rotation to support system uptime and availability.

Required Skills and Experience:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of experience building backend systems, with strong proficiency in Golang.
• Familiarity with frontend integrations, especially with React applications using GraphQL and REST.
• Solid experience working with microservices, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Proven track record of leading feature design and development in SaaS environments.
• A passion for writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code with a deep understanding of system design.
• A proactive mindset and a drive for continuous learning and improvement.
