Position Overview
Riley Risk seeks experienced security professionals capable of managing security risk for clients in assigned countries and regions. We offer multiple engagement levels through our Risk Advisor Services team to accommodate various work preferences and availability. Consultants may be based in any of the 90 + countries we support.
Employment Levels
- Level I: Full-Time Position
- Level II: Part-Time and/or Utilization Based
- Level III: Intermittent, Utilization Based
Consultants in good standing may transition between levels based on company needs and the consultant's availability and preferences.

Work Environment
- Remote work enabled with required high-speed internet and quiet workspace
- Must be available during assigned duty periods
- International travel required (up to 3 weeks at a time)
- May require work in high and extreme threat environments
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Corporate Security Management
- Design and implement comprehensive corporate security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with international best practices
- Develop and maintain organizational crisis management frameworks, including emergency response plans and business continuity programs
- Create and oversee duty of care programs, including risk assessment methodologies, traveler tracking systems, and emergency support protocols
- Establish and manage global travel risk management programs, including pre-travel assessments, journey management plans, and real-time monitoring systems
- Guide executive leadership on security governance structures and risk mitigation strategies across multiple jurisdictions
Security Assessment & Planning
- Conduct and author comprehensive threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures
- Create travel security plans and deliver pre-deployment briefings
- Maintain networks of local contacts to enhance intelligence gathering
Operational Support
- Develop/Implement/Manage security programs
- Oversee local security provider procurement and management
- Conduct security audits and provider performance reviews
Training & Response
- Develop and deliver security/safety training programs
- Respond to security incidents and crises
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate operations in complex security environments
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in:
- Commercial security management, OR
- Military service, OR
- Law enforcement
Technical Requirements
- High level of Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- High level of Proficiency in Google G Suite (Gdocs, Slide, Sheets)
- High level of Proficiency in using remote systems and tools
- High-speed internet access for home office
- Fluent English communication (written and verbal)
Certifications & Clearances
- ASIS CPP or PSP certification preferred
- Clean criminal background check required
- Three professional references required
