Job Purpose The FP&A analyst will report to SCC CoE Lead & will work closely with the ISC BU Focal Points and Navigators by providing high value adding analysis for the countries/regions and BU's assigned. He will also be responsible for planning/forecasting and budgeting that support the strategic objectives of AkzoNobel & will strive to support continuous improvements and standardization initiatives in reporting. Key Accountabilities * Analyzes current and past trends in key performance indicators; monitor performance indicators, highlights trends and analyzes causes of unexpected variance and capturing it in form of commentary * Support in preparing Inventory insights for the EXCO, CIR, Audit Committee and ISC finance head and Supply chain COE Lead * Analyses Gross & Net Inventory, Slob provisions and Inventory related costs across Country/BU/Region and highlight reasons for variances in alignment with navigators at monthly basis * Analyses and review opportunities for improving and optimizing the Slob provisions, scrapping cost, DIO, DOH and Inventory related cost for Raw Material, Semi- finished goods and Finished Goods in alignment with navigators * Develops financial models to get visibility of delta from BUD/QRF/RF and generating insights from data for management decision-making * Provide alerts on potential risk & opportunities in alignment with navigator. Keep abreast with the latest inventory management best practices and technologies * Collaborating with supply chain teams, regional supply chain controllers and BU controllers to forecast future inventory for RF / QRF cycle and Budget preparation * Addressing inventory-related issues promptly and assist in implementing inventory as per AkzoNobel policies. * Supports the FP&A ISC processes, like planning and budgeting that support the strategic objectives of AkzoNobel * Adopt standard reports and align with HRT team by providing inputs for the new standard reports as per the management requirements to optimize the timings and improve the visibility Experience * 5-8 years' experience as FP&A analyst or as controller in a business environment and/or functional area * You are ambitious and see this function as part of your development to become an all-round Finance professional in AkzoNobel. * You have exposure of tools like Power BI, Tableau or SAP Analytics Cloud. * You are curious, eager to learn and always searching for improvement opportunities (process wise) * You have affinity for numbers and systems, and have strong analytical skills combined with a critical, but constructive, attitude * Experience in building automated reports and models is a must; excellent financial and analytical skills * Strong HFM, ERP and BI systems experience * Strong analytic skills and the ability to analyze, organize, summarize and articulate complex financial information for decision making At AkzoNobel we are highly committed to ensuring an inclusive and respectful workplace where all employees can be their best self.
