Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

Project Kuiper is seeking an innovative, strategic-minded leader to establish new partnerships with Field Service Providers who will fulfill professional installation and service opportunities for B2B channels. This leader will develop and manage key partnerships with both existing and new partners.

Key job responsibilities

We are looking for someone that has a combination of operations, technical, contract development, cross functional leadership, and program management experience. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable building and launching a new service that leverages third-party relationships. In this role, you will work with a range of technical and non-technical teams to build field service technology, assess partner operating capabilities, own the end-to-end field contract lifecycle, and launch a new customer facing service. The scope of this role focuses on delivering against key business goals while also innovating and finding efficiencies through the development and management of a multi-year field service strategy and roadmap.

A day in the life

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business leaders across Amazon to define requirements and ensure successful execution of contracts that support service launch.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations for strategic service agreements, performance management policies, and co-development initiatives with third-party partners.
  • Prepare and present business reviews to senior executives on partnership progress, strategic opportunities, and potential risks related to the field service program.
  • Drive "Think Big" strategies to identify opportunities to integrate field management systems, contract design, supplier management policies, and business objectives into cohesive operating models.
  • Own the development and execution of beta testing programs for new field service technologies and processes.
  • Analyze performance metrics and feedback to continuously improve the end-to-end field service experience and achieve key business goals.
  • Develop and manage a multi-year field service strategy and roadmap, balancing innovation with operational efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
  • 3+ years of professional or military experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
