About The Position
As part of the Global Engineering Team, the primary purpose of this position is to manage Functional Processes of the Engineering Function globally with the objective of improving the delivery of Engineering Services within Flora Food Group. This includes ensuring excellence, consistency, simplicity, tracking, and reporting of the CAPEX program and strategy, the digital platforms, and the Decarbonization program. The expected annual CAPEX spend is ~€100–150 million. Partnering with the Supply Chain and Manufacturing Teams, the role will support Engineers to ensure all CAPEX Projects are delivered on time, in full, and within budget in accordance with the Flora Project Delivery Framework and best industry practices.
You Will
- Lead operational aspects and drive change initiatives and the value creation plan in line with the Flora Food Group strategic plan and within business as usual.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives and standardized ways of working across the business in partnership with other functions and in line with the business priorities and Engineering strategy.
- Support the Engineering Director in shaping the development of Engineering standards and standardized and systematized ways of working within the organization.
- Support in planning and managing project priorities for the regions in line with their growth ambitions.
- Lead the development, roll-out, and rigor of the Global Engineering digital agenda and tools to improve and simplify accessibility to information, standards, and data for use by the Global Engineering managers.
- Track and report the Global Engineering organization's delivery through the Project Delivery Dashboard in terms of OTIF (on time in full) and in budget.
- Define and develop initiatives to drive change management within project teams across the business units, with the ambition to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Engineering Function.
- Drive the CAPEX Budget Tracking (actuals and forecasting), working closely with the Global CAPEX Finance Controller, Factory Controllers, and Global Engineering Managers to deliver timely and accurate Financial Dashboards in line with the Annual Plan.
- Coordinate the CAPEX Annual Planning Process with inputs from all SUs and functions.
- Maintain the Global and Regional Project Tracker mechanism to ensure project teams are effectively supported to deliver on time, in full, at the right standards, and within budget on their key KPIs.
So what does it take to be successful in this role?
You have a tertiary qualification in Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration, complemented by excellent project and program management skills—formal certification in project management is a plus. You demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities and strong data management capabilities, with a focus on leveraging the latest business data analytics tools. You exemplify a high degree of personal integrity and possess well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. Your leadership and strategic thinking enable you to provide comprehensive overviews that support key stakeholder and business decisions. You are capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team, fostering strong relationships across the organization. An understanding of business finance and experience in supply chain or engineering environments is beneficial. You bring experience in capital expenditure management and reporting, and any background in business process improvement is an added advantage. You are proficient in both verbal and written English and enjoy contributing to a virtual, multicultural work environment.
