Required:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • CPA
  • Experience working at a public company that is commercial and revenue generating
  • Public accounting experience
  • Experience working at a manufacturing company in the life sciences space- Biotech or Pharma- that is Commercial and revenue generating
  • Experience working at a company with manufacturing plants and a strong understanding of plant finance
  • Experience working at an organization with a global presence
  • Experience supervising a team


Preferred:

  • M&A experience
  • experience working at a company with a shared service accounting team.
  • SAP or SAC experience
  • Big 4 experience
  • Experience working at a company with a robust pipeline of products- with multiple products
  • Experience working at a company with $1 billion + in revenue
  • Experience working at a company that owns and operates multiple manufacturing plants
  • Experience working in a Buy to Bill environment.



Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations: Oversee the planning, direction, and coordination of all accounting and reporting functions, including external reporting, plant controllership, and shared services.

  • Month-End Closing: Manage a timely and accurate month-end close process, including variance analysis and account reconciliations, while ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and local regulations.
  • Technical Accounting: Supervise all technical accounting assessments, including drafting and reviewing policy memos and technical accounting positions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key liaison for cross-functional teams, supporting analytical needs and various strategic projects, including M&A and business development. Partner with the FP&A team on budget planning, forecasting, expense analysis, and internal reporting.
  • Audit Preparation: Prepare materials for the Audit Committee and Board, offering insights into accounting trends, financial results, and special projects.
  • System Optimization: Lead the development of training programs to enhance the finance team’s use of the ERP.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and overall effectiveness within the accounting function.
  • Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, aligning strategies and action plans with organizational goals.
