Job Description
Explore and develop new business opportunities for Contract Logistics in the Globe, including USA, Canada, EU and Asia.
Build a strong Contract Logistics opportunity pipeline with targeting USA customers in conjunction with the sales & operations teams
Cooperate with Business Units, identification and delivery of Logistics solution capability to match existing/potential customer & future market needs.
Prepare and conduct customer visits, calls, presentations and commercial and contractual discussions as required
Be responsible for proposal compilation, quotation and presentation for new business inquiries and RFP/RFQ
Coordinate with internal parties for new customer implementation including project plan, solution design, warehouse setup, SOP, cost analysis and contracting etc. ensuring project implementations in good order
Liaise with vendors/3PLs ensuring operation performance meets customer requirement
Other assignments may be directed by the Management
Qualifications
Local and familiar with the US market
Minimum 3-5 years fundamental experience in the logistics industry and 2 years’ experience in contract logistics
Experience in 3PL Contract Management (either as service provider, or service ‘buyer’)
Excellent process, analytical and financial/costing skills
Very good understanding of Operations management in Logistics or Manufacturing Environment
International work experience in the logistics industry
Ability to work effectively in a customer-driven deadline environment
Team player/problem solver, resourceful in creating solutions for customers
Fluent communication skills in Chinese will be a plus
Mature, resourceful, self-driven and high degree of professional integrity
