Overview

We are searching for an experienced Glass Assembly Machine Operator at our Irving, TX facility.

Responsibilities

• Read/measure glass accurately with tape measure
• Check glass quality and be able to identify basic glass defects
• Place glass into bungees racks and metal A-frames per customer required specifications
• Should be able to accurately reject glass from bungees and squeeze racks
• Properly close finished orders
• Read and fill out proper unload paperwork (run list, packing maps)
• Should be able to set up customer orders properly
• Communicate with the Q.C. and shift lead regarding quality or breakage issues
• Never allow the line to get backed up with glass
• Must possess a high sense of urgency
• Help unload packer when able depending on glass production requirements
  
  

Requirements

• Reliability
• Ability to pass physical and aptitude tests, involving basic math, fractions, tape measure literate and reading comprehension.
• Prior manufacturing/production, forklift/overhead crane experience is a plus.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends if required
• Maintain and wear all required personal protective equipment
• Attend all safety meetings
• Participate in pre-shift warm-up excercises
