Your Role: Leadership-Driven, Technical, and Client-Focused As a Geotechnical Project Engineer - Project Manager based in Cincinnati, OH, you will lead a variety of geotechnical projects from initial planning through execution. This role blends engineering expertise with project management, client coordination, and team mentorship-supporting critical infrastructure like roadways, bridges, and commercial sites. What You'll Do: * Manage geotechnical projects from subsurface exploration to final recommendations, ensuring technical accuracy and efficiency * Evaluate field and lab data to develop sound engineering solutions for foundations, slope stability, and ground improvement * Prepare detailed technical reports and proposals, while participating in business development opportunities * Communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors to maintain alignment and solve project challenges * Mentor junior staff and support a positive, safety-first, and collaborative work culture What We're Looking For: * A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Mining, or a related engineering field * A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering * A Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire * A minimum of 1-3 years of project management, supervisory, or team leadership experience, a plus * A strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD What to Expect: With the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): * Outdoor, hands-on work in all weather conditions and outside normal business hours as needed * Walking on uneven terrain and maneuvering field equipment such as a loaded wheelbarrow * Lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs. of field or lab equipment and samples * Occasional out-of-town travel and overnight stays for project assignments Why Join S&ME?
