JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Geospatial System Professional will be responsible for managing and maintaining geospatial systems and applications within an organization. This role involves working with various stakeholders to gather requirements, design and implement geospatial solutions, and provide technical support. The Geospatial System Professional will play a critical role in leveraging geospatial data to support business decisions, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experience.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Generic Accountabilities:

•Demonstrate technical expertise in geospatial systems, applications, and tools. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the field

•Maintain data security and confidentiality.

•Continuously improve geospatial processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience. Identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.

•Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, design and develop geospatial solutions and tools, and provide technical support.

Job-Specific Accountabilities:

•Manage and maintain geospatial systems, including hardware, software, and data storage to ensure they are functioning optimally and meeting organizational needs.

•Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, design and develop geospatial applications and tools, and customize off-the-shelf software to meet RER needs.

•Provide technical support for geospatial systems and applications, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors and IT staff to resolve technical issues.

•Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in geospatial systems and applications.

•Conduct spatial analysis using different set of techniques to support business decisions, identify patterns and trends, and solve complex problems.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

A Bachelor degree in geomatics, geography, GIS, computer science, or any related field. Proficiency in geospatial enterprise architecture, technologies and tools such as ArcGIS pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, good knowledge in SQL and Geo-databases, and programming languages. Deep knowledge in Web Map Services, RESTful APIs & integration.
