Nami Nori is looking for a highly personable and dedicated General Manager to join the team in our newest location, soon to open in the exciting Atlantic Park project in Virginia Beach. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail oriented, has a passion for people and service, and is confident leading a team. 


Nami Nori was the first restaurant to specialize in open-style sushi hand rolls in New York City. With Pharrell Williams, multi-hyphenate and Virginia Beach native, as partner and advisor, Nami Nori is poised to grow its devoted fan following and share our gracious hospitality with both guests and employees alike across the globe.

  • Comfortable implementing and maintaining systems and standards to ensure the highest level of service and maximize profitability

  • Proactive and creative problem-solver who is responsive and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • If outside of the region, willing to relocate to Virginia Beach

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Oversee all aspects of daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring the best quality in service, product and ambience
  • Build and maintain guest relationships, curate VIP experiences, and manage ongoing correspondence through email and review platforms
  • Train, coach, and develop a team of high performing staff by exemplifying our Core Values
  • Manage facilities maintenance, following checklists and communicating issues in real time, following proper protocols
  • Maintain a “Satisfactory” grade from the Health Department and ensure the restaurant is clean, pest free, and all product is being handled and served according to code
  • Drive sales, working to maximize top line sales for every meal period
  • Facilitate on-going training and development of current staff and management to ensure that all team members are educated on all operations
  • Build morale and team loyalty by fostering a work environment where team members’ input is valued and encouraged 
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors & the community at large
  • Review P&L and budgets, optimizing operations, inventory and ordering, to attain budget projections
