We are looking for a highly motivated, go-getter sales leader who can independently drive revenue, build strategic brand partnerships, and expand their own team as they deliver results. This is an entrepreneurial role requiring a self-starter with a creative mindset, a strong sales acumen, and the ability to sell high-value brand solutions to C-suite decision-makers.
Role Overview
As the General Manager of Sales – Media & Brand Solutions, you will be responsible for monetizing The Guild’s business lines, developing high-impact brand partnerships, and gradually expanding a sales team based on performance growth. You will lead by example—closing high-value deals, innovating sales strategies, and creating compelling media solutions that drive business results for brands.
This role is for a true go-getter who thrives in an entrepreneurial setting and can independently drive sales while envisioning and executing long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Revenue Growth
• Own and drive revenue targets for media sales, branded content, sponsorships, and marketing solutions.
• Identify and build strong relationships with C-suite executives (CMOs, Heads of Marketing, Business Leaders).
• Work independently to establish revenue streams before expanding the team.
• Develop and execute an aggressive B2B sales strategy to bring in high-value clients.
• Innovate new monetization models to grow media, events, and brand partnerships.
2. Leading Sales Efforts by Example
• Be the first sales leader to break new ground, winning clients and setting benchmarks for performance.
• Lead sales meetings, pitch presentations, and negotiations directly with C-level executives.
• Demonstrate strong consultative selling skills, crafting high-impact solutions for brands.
• Expand the sales team based on revenue achievements, hiring top talent to scale success.
3. Monetizing The Guild’s Business Lines
• SME Futures – Sell sponsored articles, digital ad placements, and content partnerships.
• Guild Live – Secure sponsorships and strategic partnerships for business events, summits, and networking forums.
• Guild TV – Develop branded video series, leadership interviews, and digital content campaigns.
• Guild Partner Studio – Pitch and execute branded content, whitepapers, and custom reports for clients.
4. Brand Solutions & Creative Sales Strategies
• Develop tailored marketing solutions that integrate branded content, events, and digital media.
• Innovate unique sponsorship packages for clients across The Guild’s platforms.
• Work closely with editorial, marketing, and design teams to craft compelling brand narratives.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, offering cutting-edge media solutions to clients.
5. High-Impact Pitch Decks & Proposals
• Master the art of storytelling, crafting powerful pitch decks that showcase The Guild’s value.
• Create data-driven sales proposals with strong business cases to close high-ticket deals.
• Ensure all sales materials reflect premium quality, market trends, and client needs.
6. Team Expansion & Leadership
• Initially work independently to drive sales before expanding a full sales team.
• Identify, recruit, and mentor high-performing sales professionals as business scales.
• Build a high-performance sales culture that thrives on results, creativity, and innovation.
