The General Manager position in our Operations department in Kingston, PA directs and coordinates activities of production, customer service, office, distribution and maintenance departments by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. The anticipated salary for this position starts at $88,500 and is commensurate with experience. In addition, HCSC offers the following to all full-time employees:

What you will be doing:
* Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Oversees pollution controls, air quality standards, and other environmental performance metrics, ensuring alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
* Understands and interprets financial statements such as P&L and balance sheet and conducts budgeting, purchasing, payroll and inventory control.
* Collaborates effectively with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts, manage procurement, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services that meet operational needs and quality standards. Build and maintain strong relationships to support long-term business objectives.
* Maintains product quality and maximize merchandise conservation by monitoring weekly linen injections, the quality assurance program, and soil return rates.
* In partnership with Human Resources, participates in interviews, supervises, trains, schedules, counsels and evaluates staff.
* Supervises department heads such as maintenance chief, operations manager, office manager and ensures excellent overall customer service.
* Writes, updates, and reviews training materials, tracking logs, staff competencies, and equipment validation documents in accordance with SOPs.
What you will bring to the role:
* Bachelors degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field and 10+ of progressive experience in a similar role, including demonstrated leadership in a production or industrial setting are preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a regulatory and compliance-driven environment.
* Experience in managing and developing teams, including the ability to plan, coordinate, and direct workflows within and between departments to meet quality and efficiency goals. Proven track record in mentoring and increasing team management and operational knowledge.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and related applications. Familiarity with industry specific software is a plus.
* Experience in using performance improvement processes, working with cross-functional teams to develop or revise standard operating procedures, and implementing best practices to enhance quality and operational effectiveness.
* Experience in planning and managing daily operations to meet company targets, focusing on efficiency, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Additional information:
This position will be based out of Kingston, PA. They will be responsible for working the following schedule:
The normal hours for this position are 8am-5pm at our Kingston location but must be able to travel to attend conferences, training and other events as required in fulfilling the responsibilities of the position as well as flexibility to meet shift and department needs.
The expected travel for this position is 90% in office and 10% travel to corporate office and on-call as needed.
