General Manager – Technology & Financial Services

Location: Miami, FL (Hybrid – 2–3 days/week in-office)

We are retained by a long-established fintech organization with deep roots in the financial services sector. The business is PE – backed by a globally respected fund and is currently at a critical inflection point, seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead its next phase of regional expansion.

Based in Miami, the incoming leader will play a central role in shaping strategy, overseeing operational delivery, and aligning local execution with global expectations. With a solid foundation and significant growth potential this is a rare opportunity to drive meaningful impact across the LATAM region.

This role is ideal for a hands-on executive with a strong operational background, financial acumen, and a proven ability to scale businesses while fostering long-term organizational stability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading day-to-day operations to ensure smooth delivery and alignment with strategic goals
• Driving organizational performance through improved financial discipline, operational structure, and team accountability
• Overseeing potential business restructuring efforts, including the management of separate units with distinct P&Ls
• Shaping and executing the company’s strategic direction in collaboration with the board and global leadership
• Establishing scalable processes and KPIs to ensure operational excellence and financial sustainability
• Building strong relationships with enterprise clients, particularly in the financial services and payments sectors
• Managing and developing cross-functional teams, fostering a high-performance culture across diverse locations
• Collaborating with commercial leaders and supporting sales functions to ensure operational readiness and client satisfaction
• Identifying growth opportunities and operational risks in key LATAM markets, particularly Panama
• Representing the business with credibility and gravitas in internal and external stakeholder meetings

The Ideal Candidate:

• A seasoned operator with operational leadership roles in fintech, payments, financial services, or technology-driven businesses
• Deep understanding of LATAM market dynamics,
• Brings a strong financial acumen and a proven ability to manage P&L, drive cost efficiencies, and meet profitability targets
• Comfortable in growth-stage environments with the ability to implement structure and discipline while supporting agility
• Demonstrates strong people leadership, with the ability to inspire teams and foster long-term employee engagement
• Experience in a PE-backed environment or understanding of private equity dynamics is advantageous
• A clear communicator with the confidence and presence to engage senior stakeholders across borders
• Bilingual or working proficiency in different languages would be advantageous
