GCP Data Engineer

Location: Dearborn, MI

Experience: 8+ years

Duration: Full-time, W2

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with teams to deliver quality software solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Collaborate continuously with Product Managers and Technical Anchors.
• Assist GDIA Partners in understanding iterative development and prioritization.
• Mentor and train other Data Engineers in agile methodologies and technical skills.
• Innovate and improve agile processes while sharing insights.
• Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices and quality standards.
• Communicate technology strategies and visions effectively to stakeholders.
• Operate in an agile, user-centric environment with continuous iteration.
• Engage in pair programming to develop technical expertise and guide team members.

Required Skills:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong experience with GCP services (BigQuery, Vertex AI, Cloud Storage).
• Proficiency in Python, Hadoop, and Teradata.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, and GitHub.
• Experience managing enterprise cloud environments, particularly GCP.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing and distributed systems.
• Expertise in object-oriented design principles and software engineering best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with GCP BigQuery and related technologies.
