Vivid Techno Solutions is hiring a GCP Application Engineer on behalf of our esteemed client. We're looking for a cloud-savvy engineer to lead the end-to-end migration of enterprise applications to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with a strong focus on GKE, Cloud SQL, and AlloyDB.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Migration Strategy & Design: Develop a comprehensive plan for migrating applications from on-premises infrastructure to GCP, focusing on Kubernetes (GKE) and managed databases (Cloud SQL/AlloyDB).
• Cloud Architecture: Design secure, scalable, and highly available microservices-based solutions using GKE.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources with reliability and consistency.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Migrate and modernize applications into Docker containers and deploy using Kubernetes.
• Database Migration: Plan and execute smooth database migrations with minimal downtime and maximum data integrity (MySQL/PostgreSQL to Cloud SQL or AlloyDB).
• CI/CD & DevOps: Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Cloud Build, and GitOps practices.
• Security & Compliance: Implement IAM, VPC configurations, Kubernetes RBAC, and workload identity for secure application deployment.
• Monitoring & Optimization: Set up logging and monitoring using Google Cloud Operations Suite (formerly Stackdriver) to ensure system performance and reliability.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with developers, operations, and client stakeholders to ensure project alignment and delivery.

✅ Required Skills:

• Hands-on expertise with GCP services: GKE, Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, IAM, VPC, Cloud Build.
• Strong command of Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes.
• CI/CD implementation experience with Jenkins, Cloud Build, or GitOps tools.
• Deep understanding of cloud security practices, IAM, workload identity, and Kubernetes RBAC.
• Experience with cloud monitoring/logging tools for observability and incident response.

💼 Preferred Qualifications:

• Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, DevOps Engineer).
• Experience in enterprise-level cloud migration projects.
• Familiarity with tools like ArgoCD or Flux is a plus.
