Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage GCP resources such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Kubernetes Engine, and Big Query.
• Ensure the high availability and scalability of cloud-based applications and services.
• Set up and manage virtual networks, subnets, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Oversee cloud storage management, including object storage, persistent disks, and databases.
• Configure and manage IAM (Identity and Access Management) roles and permissions.
• Implement security best practices for securing cloud environments.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations, including encryption and audit logging.
• Monitor the health and performance of GCP resources and services.
• Set up logging and monitoring and troubleshoot issues related to cloud performance.
• Optimize cloud costs through efficient resource management and scaling strategies.
• Automate cloud infrastructure deployment using Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or other tools.
• Work closely with development, DevOps, and security teams to ensure that cloud resources meet project needs.
• Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation regarding cloud infrastructure configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure components such as virtual machines, storage, networking, and databases in GCP.
• Experience with GCP tools like Cloud Console, Cloud SDK, Cloud Deployment Manager, etc.
• Knowledge of security best practices, including IAM, VPCs, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Proficient with cloud automation and scripting tools (e. g., Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash).
• Familiarity with GCP services like Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Pub/Sub, Big Query, etc.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration and tools (e. g., Jenkins, GitLab).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in cloud environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
