The Game Mathematician employs strong mathematical skills and innovation to create engaging, original models and mechanics for high-quality online games. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, this position collaborates with industry experts, product owners, designers, and artists to coordinate the in-depth mathematical modeling and gameplay that underpin exciting, effective game mechanics. The Game Mathematician is involved in the game creation process from start to finish and represents game mechanics within the design process.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience working in technology companies.
• Advanced verbal and written English communication skills.
• Basic mathematical intuition focused more on mathematical and game mechanics solutions than visual solutions.
• Expertise in combinatorics, logic, probability theory, and statistics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
