SUMMARY:
The position of G - Driver and Material Handler is multi-faceted and interacts with various StackTeck employees and subcontractors. In addition to the distribution of components to the shop floor at both facilities, as well as day-to-day pickup, crating, and delivery of goods to/from subcontractors within the GTA, this role will be responsible for general support to the TeckCenter. As representatives of StackTeck, individuals in this role are expected to dress and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for performing material duties including controlling/managing incoming inventory, interacting with internal customers and carriers to arrange shipping
Crate, pack, seal, and label materials for shipping, and place in the delivery area
Preparesorders by processing requests and supply orders
Position will require regular loading and unloading of shipments
Empty chip bins on a daily basis
Load plastic recycling in the trailer and deliver empty loads to the required areas
Complete delivering by driving van to and from vendors or between StackTeck facilities
Maintains van by completing preventive maintenance requirements, arranging for repairs
Communicate effectively to resolve issues such as damages, shortages, and non-conformance to required specifications
Order and store shipping supplies to maintain stock inventory
Maintain cleanliness around and within the facility
Keep grounds in and surrounding the TeckCentre clean at all times, remove snow and dispose of all garbage
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid G license with clear driver abstract is a requirement for this position
Counterbalance forklift experience with valid certification is a requirement
Carpentry / crate building experience
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent required
Basic Computer skills: Excel, Word and Outlook, an asset
