Job Title: Funding and Data Manager (MIS)
Location: Hybrid / London Area
Salary: Circa £45,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Reporting to: Group Director of Operations
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Funding and Data Manager (MIS) to lead on funding compliance, data accuracy, and performance reporting across our funded programmes. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring data integrity, optimising funding claims, and producing board-level insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all aspects of funding and ILR data management for ASF, FCfJ, Study Programmes, Advanced Learner Loans, and Apprenticeships
• Ensure compliance with DfE and other regulatory bodies’ funding rules and audit requirements
• Produce accurate monthly ILR returns and maintain robust data validation processes
• Analyse and report on learner progress, funding performance, and financial claims to the Group Director of Operations and the Board
• Design and deliver regular performance dashboards and bespoke reports for internal stakeholders
• Support curriculum and delivery teams with funding guidance, forecasting and scenario planning
• Drive continuous improvement in data systems, processes and reporting tools
• Manage relationships with external auditors, funding agencies and data system providers
What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience in MIS/data management in the post-16 education and skills sector
• Experience knowledge of PICS
• Strong knowledge of ESFA funding methodologies including ASF, FCfJ, Study Programmes, Loans and Apprenticeships
• In-depth understanding of ILR returns, PDSAT, FIS, and audit preparation
• Excellent analytical skills and advanced Excel capability
• Confident communicator, able to present complex data clearly to senior stakeholders
• Detail-focused, with a proactive and solutions-driven approach
