Our client is seeking a Fund Accountant to join their San Francisco-based team where they will report directly to the CFO and Controller. This is a high-impact role offering broad exposure across fund operations, performance reporting, and compliance within an investment firm.

Responsibilities:

• Perform quarterly and annual closing procedures for all funds
• Execute capital calls, distributions, and maintain accurate fund accounting and legal records
• Prepare capital account statements, IRR calculations, and performance incentive figures
• Maintain internal fund performance reporting systems and support the year-end audit process
• Liaise with fund administrator to resolve accounting issues and ensure reporting accuracy
• Assist with private valuations and fund/SPV formations
• Support annual and regulatory compliance filings, tax compliance efforts, and special projects related to firm operations

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of experience in private equity or similar investment fund accounting
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a high level of professional integrity
• Self-starter with a proactive approach and a strong sense of ownership
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex issues
• Functional proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Investran is a plus

Salary:

$90,000 - $110,000 + bonus
