Position Summary:
A highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Functional Project Manager is sought to provide comprehensive project management support to Scientific Development Network, Americas Partners, and Stakeholder Engagement within the Vaccines R&D organization. Reporting directly to the CSO or equivalent, this role plays a key part in coordinating internal and external scientific initiatives that drive collaboration, communication, and strategic alignment in North America.
The successful candidate will lead the planning and execution of high-impact scientific and strategic projects, develop and maintain stakeholder engagement, and ensure alignment with overarching scientific and functional goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Project Coordination & Meeting Support:
o Plan, prepare, and execute both in-person and virtual meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
o Provide logistical coordination and real-time support during engagements.
• Follow-Up & Documentation:
o Document meeting outcomes and track action items to ensure timely completion and alignment.
• Budget Planning & Oversight:
o Develop and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and coordinate payment processing.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Work across internal Vaccine R&D teams and with external scientific partners to identify and address project-related challenges and opportunities.
o Ensure effective cross-functional communication and alignment.
• Tool Development & System Implementation:
o Design and implement collaborative tools and project management systems to streamline operations and information flow.
• Project Planning & Execution:
o Deliver optimized project plans that align with scientific and strategic objectives.
o Track timelines, deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Functional Strategy & Enablement:
o Support the development of functional strategies and enablement platforms to enhance performance and integration.
• Scientific Communication Planning:
o Develop and execute integrated scientific communication plans.
o Manage congress roadmaps, publication strategies, and participation in scientific conferences.
• Output & Timeline Management:
o Ensure timely delivery of communication outputs, scientific content, and stakeholder deliverables.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, public health, or related discipline (Advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within a scientific, pharmaceutical, or R&D setting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar).
• Experience with budgeting and financial tracking processes.
• Familiarity with scientific communications, congress planning, or publication management is a plus.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is advantageous.
