Position Title : Business Analyst Functional Consultant – HR Domain (SQL- focus)

Capability : Technology and Core Systems

Location : Open for all the Xceedance India locations



Job Description Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst Functional Consultant with a strong background in Human Resources and expertise in SQL.


Job Description:

This role involves optimizing HR processes and collaborating on project teams to understand business requirements. Responsibilities include HR solution implementation at client sites, ability to support in consulting mode for solution design, reviewing UAT and QA test scenarios, contributing to functional documentation, and facilitating meetings with various teams.

The role also includes conducting requirements workshops, understanding current processes, working with implementation partners on future processes, and creating business process mapping documents. Having prior experience of HR system implementations is highly recommended, preferably WorkDay solution.


Qualification & Experience required (including key competencies):

  • MBA or domain certified person with HR domain expertise
  • 12+ Years of experience working in HRMS products like Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP HCM,
  • Core Skills:
  • HR Domain expertise: Strong function knowledge about employee life cycle and what HR system does in the entire lifecycle
  • End to end HR solution implementation experience and ability to work as a consultant
  • Advanced SQL skills: Expertise in writing complex queries, data analysis and generating reports using SQL
  • Process Improvement: Assess and improve HR workflows particularly related to compensation, leave management and employee data management


Business Lead responsibilities

  • Facilitate Meetings across multiple teams which include vendors, integration teams, architects, configurators, operations, end users, business partners, testing teams and managers.
  • Conduct requirements workshops-Closely work with Business team to understand As Is process, work with Implementation partner to understand to be process, Create business Process Mapping document.
  • Work on different documents BRD, FSD, Business Process Mapping, Priority Matrix, Charter, Integration.
  • Propose process improvement strategies to track the requirement changes, status, business expectation, cost, timeline and other key metrics, which helped provide information to all the teams in a quicker way.
  • Creation of product backlogs, closely worked with PO to Groom and prioritize product backlog
  • Develop user stories and DOR, DOD criteria
  • Create As Is Integration document and review To Be Integration design document
  • Review, modify & create test cases & test scenarios for different types of testing like UAT, Functional, System and Regression testing as per the requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge in HR modules implementation particularly compensation management, Leave and Personal information modules.
