What it’s like to be a Fullstack Developer at STX Next?

At STX Next, our JavaScript Strategic Department is rapidly expanding, driven by a community of Fullstack Developers enthusiastic about Node.js, along with frameworks like React and Nest.js or Next.js, . We work remotely while regularly connecting through meetups, tech talks, and industry events. We actively engage as speakers, organizers, and participants, constantly striving to enhance our knowledge and share it with others.

Our technical approach is comprehensive, aiming to increase both the expertise and specialization of our developers across technologies such as Node.js, React, Angular, and Vue. We continuously monitor emerging frameworks and libraries, and utilize AI and other tools to enhance our efficiency, work comfort, and deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining server-side applications.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Troubleshooting and debugging Node.js and React applications.
• Ensuring security and data protection within your code.
• Identifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugs.
• Collaborating with team members to continuously improve processes and product quality.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest Node.js and JavaScript trends.
• Sharing knowledge and best practices with the broader development team.
• Writing integration and unit tests to ensure your code is high quality.
• Conducting code reviews for your teammates to maintain best practices.
  
  

Requirements

Must have:

• Excellent knowledge of the latest JavaScript standards.
• Strong understanding of the Node.js ecosystem and fundamentals (event loop, async I/O model).
• Experience with production-ready frameworks such as React and Nest.js or Next.js.
• Familiarity with TypeScript.
• Experience in writing integration and unit tests (e.g., Jest).
• Familiarity with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB, etc.).
• Experience using and consuming RESTful APIs with a solid understanding of HTTP.
• Experience with code versioning platforms (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket).
• Good communication skills in English (B2 minimum).
• A team player with a collaborative mindset!
  
  

Nice To Have

• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis, Neo4j, QuestDB).
• Familiarity with microservice-related technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Cassandra).
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Knowledge of networking at the TCP level and experience with flatbuffers/protobuf in production environments.
