Position: QA Automation Engineer
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
Experience: 2 to 5 years
Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. In this role, you will contribute to all stages of the testing lifecycle, from requirement analysis and test case development to automation and exploratory testing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest quality standards, leveraging your expertise in Playwright, TypeScript, and testing techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze testing requirements.
- Ensure comprehensive understanding of user stories and acceptance criteria.
Test Case Development and Execution:
- Design, develop, and document effective test cases for manual and automated testing.
- Execute test cases, report bugs, and track defect resolution.
Automation Testing:
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Automate web and API tests to improve efficiency and coverage.
Exploratory Testing:
- Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases and ensure robust application behavior.
Debugging and Communication:
- Debug issues effectively, working with developers to identify and resolve root causes.
- Communicate testing progress, results, and challenges clearly to stakeholders.
CI/CD Integration:
- Collaborate on CI/CD pipeline integration for automated tests using tools like Jenkins.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in automation testing tools, specifically Playwright and TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of web and API testing methodologies.
Testing and Debugging Skills:
- Experience in requirement gathering, test case development, and exploratory testing.
- Strong debugging skills to identify and resolve issues effectively.
Communication:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
Mindset:
- A strong quality-focused mindset with attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins.
- Basic knowledge of Agile processes and test management tools.
