Michelin Connected Fleet, North America, is looking for a full stack Java Developer. We’re a world class fleet management, IoT and SAAS company. We help fleet managers meet the following challenges:

As a Full Stack Java Developer, you will join our rapidly growing global development teams to deliver world class fleet management software systems. You will be working on components for both frontend using Java Script and backend using Java frameworks. You should be comfortable with database systems for manipulating large volume of data.
What You’ll Do
Ship well-architected, performant, scalable, secure code with solid test coverage.
Develop new or improve existing frontend and backend architecture and components
Lead or participate in architectural and technical feasibility discussions, inclusively. Make an appropriate, well substantiated decision for your developmental approach.
Regularly communicate with product and business stakeholders, addressing their priorities, while leading backend best practices and standards and tackling tech debt. Always making test coverage a priority and educating non-technical people to get buy in if needed.
Promote exploration and experimentation with new technology. Encourage and lead discussions imparting and sharing knowledge.
The Ideal Candidate
BS in Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent work experience
5+ years of Java application development experience
3+ years of frontend development experience using JavaScript
Experience with system design, architecture and design patterns
Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as Vue.js, AngularJS, React.
Familiarity with micro-service architecture and server-side technologies (e.g. REST API’s)
Familiarity with TypeScript and NoSQL database such as MongoDB
Experience with AWS cloud native technology (Lambda, Kinessis) or similar Azure technologies
Proven ability to implement and extend highly performant, resilient backend systems
Experience with database development, including SQL and JPA/Hibernate
Proficient using the Spring framework.
Working experience in Agile development methodologies.
Empathic and articulate communicator; vertically and horizontally across the organization.
