As we scale our ML-powered products, we're looking for a Full Stack (or Backend) Software Development Engineer with deep experience in ML infrastructure to ensure our models, services, and data pipelines are highly available, observable, and production-ready.

You will be a lead/founding member of our engineering team working side by side with our founders, helping us further scale our team. Your primary responsibility will be to help build and scale our product from the ground up, contributing to all aspects of the development process from research, data, design, and product to build the highest-priority features. You’ll conceptualize, design, build, and maintain complex services/platforms/ features and develop ownership over our product + infrastructure. You’ll play a critical role in shaping our engineering and broader company culture to help make this a happy and fun place to work. You'll build core product features and infrastructure, shipping code daily and iteratively as a trailblazer, always building for the newest technologies.

We are a startup. This role is truly a grind/hustle role where you will need to roll up your sleeves and be excited to build and ship products in a timely manner. We are a lean team where you will have the autonomy to design, build, and deliver feeling real ownership over your work and the product.

What You’ll Do

• Own the architecture, design, and development of critical full-stack features.
• Lead complex technical initiatives and ensure high-quality, scalable software delivery.
• Collaborate with Founders/CTO and other engineers to translate product requirements into technical solutions.
• Champion best practices in coding, architecture, testing, and deployment.
• Mentor and support the growth of engineers across the team.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering excellence.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and technologies that align with business needs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, with strong expertise across both frontend and backend systems.
• Deep experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) and backend technologies (Node.js, Python, Java, or similar).
• Strong understanding of system design, architecture patterns (event-driven systems, etc.), and cloud-native development (preferably AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proven experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Experience Microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices.
• A passion for mentoring, leading by influence, and elevating engineering standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to Have

• Experience in startup or high-growth environments.
• Familiarity with GraphQL, TypeScript, or serverless architectures.
• Previous experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
