Synapri collaborates with a leading content and data provider, to identify a Senior Full-stack Software Engineer (Java and React) to lead the technical capabilities of a small team.

Whilst mentoring more junior colleagues, you will be ensuring the development and maintenance of scalable and performant systems. This role entails collaborating closely with the architecture team to contribute to system architecture aspects using Java, Springboot, React and Azure technologies.

Main responsibilities:

• Work alongside the Business Analyst/ Product Owner to assist with feature refinement and then guide the developers within the team to be able to accurately refine and deliver those features.
• Develop and maintain resilient, scalable and performant products for processing real-time data via HTTP, FTP and web sockets.
• Address technical debt and ensure that systems adhere to SOLID design principles.
• Contribute to an effective continuous delivery pipeline that enables incremental releases of stable software into production using MS Azure technologies.

Experience needed:

• 4-5 years+ experience in a similar role.
• Exposure to all aspects of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies and principles.
• JAVA using SOLID principles and design patterns.
• React.
• Strong experience of database analysis, designing and querying. Oracle and/or SQL Server.
• Continuous integration/delivery (Git, JIRA).

Desirable skills:

• Azure/ Azure DevOps
• Spring boot
• Docker / Kubernetes/ Helm

The role is on a hybrid work model – 2 days per week in the office (Milton Keynes) and 3 days remote.
