Job Title: Lead Software Engineer – Full Stack

As a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer, you’ll lead a team in building scalable, cloud-based solutions that directly impact users and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead multiple technical projects and guide a team of developers working on distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
• Design and implement cloud-native applications that help meet regulatory and business needs.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and development trends; experiment with new tools and frameworks.
• Mentor team members and contribute to the internal engineering community.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Work with a variety of technologies, including:
• Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, Go, SQL, HTML/CSS
• Frameworks/Tools: ReactJS, Node.js, Open Source RDBMS, NoSQL databases
• Cloud & DevOps: AWS (preferred), Docker, Kubernetes, other orchestration tools

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 4 years of professional software engineering experience (excluding internships)
• At least 1 year of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 7+ years of experience in at least one modern programming language or framework (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, ReactJS)
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
• 4+ years working with open-source frameworks and tools
• 1+ year of experience managing or mentoring software engineers
• 2+ years of experience working in Agile environments

Compensation Details:

The salary range for this position varies by location. For the Richmond, VA area, the annual salary range is approximately $175,800 – $200,700. Actual compensation will be based on location, experience, and qualifications.
