Founding Full Stack Engineer – AI-Native Platform | Antler VC-Backed Startup

We’re on the lookout for a UK-based Founding Engineer to join a fast-growing, Antler VC-backed startup in the food and drink tech space. If you’re a hands-on builder with a knack for AI-driven solutions and a passion for shaping the future of this sector, this might be the perfect role for you.

Location: London | Hybrid (3-4 days onsite)

Salary: Up to £70k + equity

Reporting to: CTO

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Building scalable, secure, and efficient full-stack solutions using Node.js and React.js
• Designing AI-powered features like data parsing, anomaly detection, and conversational tools (think RAG-based chat for sales, operations, and supply chain data)
• Developing ETL pipelines to centralise and transform data from multiple sources
• Creating seamless, user-friendly interfaces with a strong focus on accessibility and user experience
• Collaborating closely with the CTO on architecture and feature development
• Partnering with the COO to understand diverse customer journeys and refine the product
• Working with the founding team to prioritise the right features, balancing user needs and long-term vision

Who You Are:

• Skilled in Node.js and React.js
• Experienced in systems architecture or have a strong design sense
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and tackling new challenges
• Excited to spend 3-4 days per week in our London office
• Already have the right to work in the UK

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Worked in or with retail or food tech software
• Built ERPs or complex business systems
• Experimented with LLM agents, AI copilots, or autonomous workflows
• Been a CTO or founding engineer at a startup, even if it didn’t take off
• Experienced the unique challenges of building in an early, pre-seed stage venture-backed business
