Job Description::

• Backend experience, messaging infrastructure (kafka) - needs to be capable of leading UI work (not hands on)
• There is some oracle (not using specific features)
• PostgreSQL
• What application are they working with?
• JESSI - Fulfillment
• 15+ year old monolith
• It’s on Spring Framework not SpringBoot
• It is a mission critical application
• Specialized Database Framework: Mybatis/Ibatis

• First Effort:
• International Packing
• Moving shipments into pallets to create customs forms
• International Weights & Dimensions:
• Machine automatically captures measurements
• Sends to our application
• Sends to UI afterwards

• Flow:
• WMS (Warehouse Management System) identifies package that has arrived -> Reflects on a UI (Application will show UI on a TV in the warehouse of where to put the pallet)
• The application owns: the label that gets slapped onto the package
• Product that gets placed on the bag until it leaves for shipping
