Biarri is powered by a team of engineers, mathematicians, designers, and product thinkers who share a common goal: to solve complex problems using elegant, data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop full-stack web applications, with a focus on both frontend usability and backend reliability
  • Build scalable and maintainable APIs, often using Python
  • Collaborate with optimisation specialists, designers, and other engineers to deliver tailored software solutions
  • Engage in agile delivery practices, from planning and stand-ups to retrospectives
  • Write clean, testable code and participate in peer reviews
  • Contribute to technical decisions and product design as part of a tight-knit delivery team

Ideal Candidate

Biarri is looking for someone who:

  • Has 3+ years of experience in full-stack web development
  • Is proficient with modern JavaScript (preferably React)
  • Has experience with Python and building REST APIs
  • Is comfortable working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
  • Communicates clearly and enjoys solving problems as part of a team
  • Thrives in a collaborative, open-minded engineering culture
  • Is available to work from the Brisbane office once a week

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to data-heavy applications or analytics tools
  • Familiarity with containerisation (e.g. Docker) and cloud platforms
  • An interest in optimisation, mathematics, or applied science

Why Join Biarri?

  • Be part of a mission-driven team building software that makes a real-world difference
  • Solve meaningful problems in industries that shape lives and economies
  • Work in a fast-paced, intellectually curious environment with supportive colleagues
  • Enjoy a balanced lifestyle with flexibility around hours and leave
  • Learn from some of Australia’s leading experts in optimisation and software engineering
