Job Title: Full Stack Developer
Job Description
This position involves designing, developing, debugging, testing, and maintaining software programs for a variety of environments, with a focus on desktop, web, and mobile applications.
Responsibilities
* Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following the software development lifecycle.
* Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
* Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
* Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
* Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
* Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
* Protect operations by keeping information confidential.
* Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
* Accomplish engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
* Support and develop software engineers by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.
* Design software systems that scale to tens of thousands of users.
* Actively develop and/or influence system architectural design.
* Produce maintainable, testable, extensible, clean, well-documented code according to system design.
* Maintain and publish new releases for existing software products.
* Develop time estimates for development tasks.
* Participate in code review.
* Use revision control and bug tracking systems.
* Perform other tasks and projects as requested.
Essential Skills
* 10 years of experience in full stack development.
* Proficiency in Typescript and JavaScript.
* Familiarity with AWS features, cloud side with AWS.
* Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
* 7-10 years hands-on programming experience.
* Strong experience with desktop applications and/or web and mobile application development.
* Experience writing code for both compiled and interpreted languages.
* Expert-level programming capability in at least one language.
* Familiarity with both object-oriented and scripting languages.
* Strong understanding of software development methodologies.
* Detail-oriented, highly organized, able to multi-task, and good interpersonal skills.
* Experience working with revision control systems, build systems, and working within a team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Terraform experience is a nice to have.
* Python is a nice to have.
* Versatile in full stack development with front end and back end proficiency.
* Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
* Software packaging and deployment experience preferred.
* Desktop application experience (C/C++/C#), web application development experience (HTML5/CSS/JavaScript/Typescript), server-side programming (PHP/Python/Ruby/SQL), and database and web server setup and configuration.
Work Environment
Hybrid work schedule with flexible hours. Remote work on Monday and Friday. Core hours from 9:30 AM - 3 PM, with the requirement to be onsite Tuesday through Thursday during those times, working 8 hours a day.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
