LEIA Health is a startup based in Stockholm with the vision to reinvent maternal and postpartum health for the digital age. Helping the next 1B parents on a happier and healthier entry into parenthood.

We build a parental support solution to help companies increase wellbeing in the workforce by driving productivity and retention. In combination with our postpartum health tracker we offer new parents all information they need in one place, personalised insights into their mental and physical health and recovery plans based on their birth experience. With screening models for postpartum depression and pelvic floor complications, LEIA identifies women at risk already before their appointment with a midwife.

About your role

At LEIA, you would join our product development team as part of the main LEIA Group. Our team focuses on building new Features for our health app, experiment with our UX and user base, A/B testing, building new functionality for upcoming initiatives and improving ways of working. We are believers in teamwork, pair/mob programming and sharing knowledge.

Our current stack includes Typescript, React, React-Native, Node.js and our infra runs in GCP.

What You'll Bring to the Team

As a Software Engineer at LEIA, you'll be a passionate team player and a driving force behind enhancing our engineering practices. You'll collaborate closely with your colleagues, guiding them through the establishment of standards and promoting best practices. Your role will be pivotal in shaping our culture and ways of working, where we embrace agile development, pair programming, and continuous learning.

Your contributions will revolve around:

• Developing highly available and resilient modern cloud-based systems that deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Fostering a collaborative environment where you'll be an integral part of the team, contributing to our culture and agile methodologies.
• Enabling continuous deployment, ensuring seamless code releases over time.
• Embracing a growth mindset, where failures are seen as opportunities to learn and propel us towards our next breakthrough, alongside talented colleagues.
• Leveraging modern tools and languages that excite you and drive innovation.

What You Should Have

• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js, with the ability to write clean, testable code.
• Experience with common JavaScript libraries and frameworks, particularly React and hopefully React Native.
• Proven track record in product development, and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Agile practices and Code Testing, such as Continuous Integration, or Continuous Delivery.
