GOAT Finance UAB is a self-funded crypto-fintech startup on a mission to reinvent how people interact with digital finance. We’re building a next-generation platform that bridges traditional finance and cryptocurrency, making digital assets as easy to use as your everyday bank account. The Role

We’re looking to hire 3 Full-Stack Developers (mid-level to senior) to join our growing engineering team. As a Full-Stack Developer at GOAT Finance, you’ll be working with the MERN stack – with an emphasis on Next.js on the front-end and NestJS on the back-end. This is a hands-on development role where you’ll have full ownership of features from concept to deployment. You will collaborate closely with our CTO, product managers, and designers to build our MVP and beyond. What You’ll Do

• Develop & Maintain: Build new front-end features in Next.js (React) and back-end services in NestJS (Node.js). Ensure our web application is responsive, performant, and scalable as we prepare to launch our MVP.
• Collaborate: Work closely with product and design teams to turn ideas and mockups into fully functional features. You’ll participate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprints) and contribute to technical discussions and planning.
• API & Database: Design and integrate RESTful APIs (and GraphQL endpoints if needed). Our primary database is MySQL—you’ll design efficient schemas and write robust queries—and we leverage Redis for caching and fast data access.
• Quality & Security: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Implement unit and integration tests to maintain high code quality. Follow security best practices – especially important in fintech/crypto – to protect our users and data.
• DevOps & Deployment: (Bonus) Contribute to our CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure (we use modern DevOps practices on AWS/Azure). You’ll help deploy services, monitor performance, and quickly address any production issues.
• Innovate: As an early engineer, you’ll have a say in architecture and tech decisions. Propose new tools or technologies, and help us continuously improve our stack. Your ideas will directly shape the product and the user experience.
  

Who You Are (Qualifications)

• Experienced Full-Stack Developer: You have a solid background in full-stack web development. For mid-level, you bring 3+ years of experience; for senior, 5+ years or more. You’ve built and shipped web applications at scale.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript: Deep knowledge of modern JavaScript/TypeScript is a must. You’ve built front-ends with React (bonus if it’s Next.js) and back-ends with Node.js (bonus if using NestJS or Express).
• MERN Stack Knowledge: Experience with the MERN tech stack. You are comfortable with React on the front end and Node.js on the back end. Familiarity with Next.js (server-side rendering, static site generation) and NestJS (modular architecture, TypeScript) will make you successful in this role.
• Database & API Skills: Hands-on experience with databases—our primary database is MySQL; additionally, experience with Redis for caching is highly valued. You can design efficient schemas, write queries/ORM, and build robust APIs.
• Crypto/Fintech Interest: Interest or experience in crypto/blockchain or fintech is a big plus. You don’t need to be a blockchain expert, but you should be excited to learn about DeFi, digital wallets, payments, and the evolving crypto financial ecosystem.
• Remote Collaboration: Strong communication skills in English (our primary working language). You'll use Microsoft Teams for all internal communications, ensuring smooth collaboration across our remote team. Spanish is also a plus.
• Problem-Solver: You love tackling complex problems and finding simple, elegant solutions. You take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion. You’re adaptable, quick to learn new technologies, and not afraid to ask questions or challenge assumptions.
• Education: A degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus, but proven experience and skills matter most. If you’re self-taught or came through bootcamps and have built great projects, we’d love to talk.

• Competitive Salary: We offer a competitive monthly salary in line with mid-to-senior level roles. Depending on your experience and location, the range is approximately €37,000 – €75,000 per year (gross). We’re a self-funded startup, and we ensure our compensation is fair and motivating.
