Full Stack Developer (AWS, Python, DevOps)

An opportunity is available for a Full Stack Software Developer to join a federal government agency as part of its Innovation and Digital Services division. This role focuses on delivering high-impact software solutions using emerging technologies, AWS, and DevOps practices.

Location: ACT, NSW, QLD, VIC (Hybrid – Canberra-based preferred, remote considered with occasional travel)

Contract Duration: 6 months + 2 x 12 month extensions

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline

• DevOps & Cloud: Develop solutions using AWS, Python, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaboration: Work in a multi-disciplinary Agile team with strong stakeholder engagement.

Must Have Skills

AWS Expertise (Serverless applications, Infrastructure-as-Code, AWS CDK)

Python Programming (delivering software in a production environment)

DevOps & CI/CD (Jenkins or similar)

Nice to Have Skills

• JavaScript/TypeScript & Vue.js
• Machine Learning & MLOps
• Broader DevOps expertise
