Full Stack / Android Developer – Kotlin, Python, Swift
Location: Basingstoke (UK) or Klagenfurt (AT).
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack / Android Developer to join our growing development team in the UK / Austria. In this role, you will work closely with our software, design and hardware teams to design, build, and deploy innovative mobile applications for robotics control and real-time mission monitoring. From Android to iOS, you will be responsible for developing, integrating, and maintaining front-end and back-end components to ensure a smooth and intelligent user experience across platforms.
This position is ideal for a developer who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment and has a passion for developing intuitive, high-performance mobile apps that power cutting-edge UAV systems.
Candidate Profile:
- 2 – 4 years of experience in full-stack mobile application development.
- Solid experience with Android Studio using Java and Kotlin.
- Experience with back-end development, database setup and management (SQL, Firebase, etc.).
- Working knowledge of Swift and iOS development (deployment, debugging, UI/UX integration).
- Previous experience in deploying apps to the App Store and Google Play, including store submission and compliance procedures.
- Familiarity with Python for backend scripting or automation tasks.
- Bonus: Experience with Unreal Engine and C++ game development.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms.
- Build and manage full-stack infrastructure, including front-end interfaces and back-end services.
- Handle database architecture, implementation and optimisation to support mobile app functions.
- Collaborate with design and product teams to build user-centric, feature-rich applications.
- Troubleshoot bugs and performance issues, ensuring stability and high performance across devices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Strong understanding of mobile application development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
- Experience in full-stack web/mobile frameworks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- English speaking proficiency, right to work in the UK (with Visa-free travel to the EU) or in Austria.
