Summary

Title: Full-Stack AEM Developer

Location: Deerfield, IL, Hybrid (3 days onsite, Minimum 1 day/week in Deerfield (Tuesday), with 2 additional days at either Deerfield or Chicago offices (Old Post Office location).

Duration & Type: 3-Month Contract to Start (Potential Extension or Conversion)

Compensation: Competitive W2 Hourly Rate ($70 - $71)

Summary

Chamberlain Advisors is seeking an experienced Full-Stack AEM Developer to drive critical digital initiatives within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. This role will focus on backend-heavy development to support the migration of product-tier webpages from the current architecture and Drupal platforms into Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) sites. The AEM Developer will be responsible for building new components, templates, dynamic integrations, and supporting standardized architecture for future scalability.

What You’ll Be Accountable For

  • Develop static, dynamic, and API-driven components within the AEM platform.
  • Support and enhance the backend architecture of AEM web applications.
  • Create new templates, reusable components, and design frameworks to prevent code duplication.
  • Contribute to the migration of webpages and content from Drupal and other legacy platforms into AEM.
  • Leverage APIs and AEM capabilities for additional integrations.
  • Integrate AEM with tools such as Adobe Target and Adobe Analytics.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and developers across teams to build consistent digital experiences.
  • Participate in onsite collaboration days, working sessions, and team engagement activities.

What Qualifications You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of software development experience, with substantial expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • Proven experience building AEM components (static, dynamic, API-driven) and templates.
  • Strong backend development skills, Java, Sling Models, OSGi bundles, and AEM APIs.
  • Front-end development: HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, basic JavaScript (React exposure is a plus).
  • Experience developing scalable, reusable architectures for multi-site/multi-language environments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) – AEM Sites Developer certification (highly valued but not required).
  • Prior experience migrating webpages and assets from Drupal to AEM.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Target and Adobe Analytics integrations.
