Frontend Software Engineer at ZeroNorth

As a Frontend or Full Stack Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of our web applications.

These live platforms support users around the world in making data-driven decisions aligned with ZeroNorth’s mission to drive decarbonisation in the shipping industry.

This is a hybrid role based in Copenhagen. We expect you to be onsite at our ZeroNorth HQ at least three days per week.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with designers, product owners, and fellow engineers to modernise and improve our frontend applications.
• Build software solutions by translating user stories and design specifications into working features, analysing system workflows, data usage, and operational processes.
• Assess and recommend technologies—deciding where to modernise, refactor, or extend existing functionality.
• Keep up to date with the latest tools, frameworks, and best practices in frontend and general software development.
• Work as part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional team including designers, engineers, data scientists, and product managers.
• Have the opportunity to grow into a full stack developer working with technologies such as C#, Python, or Go.

Your profile:

We’re looking for passionate and talented software engineers with a strong foundation in web development and a desire to build scalable, impactful solutions.

Ideally, you have:

• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on frontend development.
• Experience developing modern frontend or full stack applications using libraries like React and frameworks such as Angular.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript. Experience with Python, C#, or Go is a plus, but not required. Strong working knowledge of HTML and CSS is essential.
• Familiarity with agile and collaborative development practices.
• A relevant degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• A growth mindset—eager to continuously learn, share knowledge, and embrace new technologies.

You are self-driven, pragmatic, and collaborative. You understand when to pursue technical excellence and when to prioritize fast delivery. Your communication skills are strong, and you thrive in a team-oriented environment.
