Summary

Who We Are

Sakari is a profitable, bootstrapped SaaS company transforming business communication through SMS marketing and automation. Founded in 2017, we’ve scaled to thousands of customers across 30+ countries, sending millions of messages monthly.

With strong product-market fit (PMF) and integrations into HubSpot, ActiveCampaign and 1,300+ platforms, we’re evolving from an integration-first model to a standalone, native messaging product for SMBs and mid-market businesses.

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer to join our engineering team and take ownership of the user interface across our web and mobile applications. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design and backend engineers to deliver seamless and delightful experiences that empower our users to manage conversations, campaigns, and analytics with ease.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your work will directly shape the face of the Sakari platform. We’ve built our platform using React, TypeScript, RTK Query and Joy UI. We also have a mobile app developed using React Native.

What You’ll Own & Deliver

  • Lead development of new features and interfaces using React and Joy UI (related to Material UI)
  • Collaborate with product and design to turn high-fidelity Figma designs into scalable components
  • Drive consistency and design system adoption with Chromatic and Storybook
  • Optimize performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across browsers and devices
  • Mentor junior engineers and help shape best practices across the front-end team
  • Review PRs and improve the maintainability of the codebase
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and tech planning

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of front-end development experience with React and TypeScript
  • Deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, modern web APIs, and functional component patterns
  • Strong experience with Material UI (MUI), JoyUI or similar UI library and custom component development
  • Familiarity with Chromatic or Storybook for visual regression and design system testing
  • A passion for clean, maintainable, and accessible UI. Strong understanding and track record of implementing testing best practices
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote-first environment
  • A product mindset—you think in terms of user experience, not just code
  • Able to work with limited specs, working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Have a passion for software engineering. Demonstrate a love of coding through personal side projects, professional developer or coaching of others

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Competitive salary
  • Equity
  • 6% 401(k) match
  • Healthcare, vision and dental insurance
  • Annual company offsite (previous destinations include Las Vegas and Mexico)
  • $500 home office setup credit
  • Business subscription to Udemy
