About The Role

As a Front-End Software Engineer at Candid, you’ll play a vital role in the development and maintenance of high-quality front-end applications. Your focus will be on designing, building, and optimizing scalable front-end solutions using React within AWS cloud environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate diverse systems and ensure secure and efficient user interactions. This role offers you the chance to contribute to meaningful social change while working on innovative technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-quality front-end software solutions using React
• Ensure security, scalability, and performance of front-end applications
• Design and implement web pages using micro front-end architecture principles
• Work within cloud computing environments such as AWS to deploy and manage front-end solutions
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment
• Continuously improve front-end architecture through research and adoption of new technologies
• Practice Agile software development methodologies
  
  

What You'll Need

• 3+ years of experience in front-end development using frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue
• Expertise in building and maintaining single-page applications (SPA)
• Knowledge of micro front-end architecture and its design and deployment best practices
• Familiarity with cloud services, preferably AWS
• Strong ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Detail-oriented approach to translating design specifications into responsive web pages
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and contribute to proactive problem-solving
• Flexibility and adaptability, with strong interpersonal skills
• College degree preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $75,000 - $120,000 (adjusted for localities and based on experience)
• Remote role with occasional in-person attendance at the annual all-staff summit and additional meetings for senior leadership
