The ideal candidate will have strong front-end development skills and will work directly with the UX and back-end development teams to ensure an exceptional online shopping experience for our customers. This person will have expertise in e-commerce platforms, front-end and back-end development, and passion for optimizing user journeys will be critical in delivering outstanding digital storefronts. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will drive projects through the entire e-commerce development lifecycle, from concept and design to robust testing and successful deployment, ensuring top-notch performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for building and maintaining the user-facing portion of our e-commerce websites, ensuring smooth and engaging online shopping experience.
• Define and lead the architectural direction for our frontend, considering both scalable long-term goals and short-term practical needs.
• Design and develop visually appealing, responsive, and interactive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Code and implement e-commerce features including building product pages, shopping carts, and checkout processes.
• Work closely with designers, back-end developers, and project managers to ensure the implementation aligns with overall project goals.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate customer needs into intuitive, high-quality user experiences and ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end systems.
• Implement best practices to optimize website performance and ensure a smooth, user-friendly experience including fast loading times.
• Maintain and improve existing web applications, ensuring code quality, scalability, and adherence to best practices.
• Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and quality assurance to ensure e-commerce websites are error-free and perform seamlessly, ensuring the sites work correctly across different browsers and devices.
• Address bugs, implement new features, and keep the website up-to date with the latest technologies.
• Lead the execution of our ambitious product roadmap, driving the release of milestone features that will help propel the company into its next phase.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience with web technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
• Expertise in front-end architecture and web performance optimization.
• Experience with platforms like Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce strongly preferred.
• In-depth experience with React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
