This role As a Senior Front-End Developer, your key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining our proprietary component library, as well as collaborating with a team of developers to create efficient, reusable, and dependable interfaces. Roles & Responsabilities The Senior Front-End Developer has a broad remit encompassing – but not limited to – the work areas below: Architect, build and maintain efficient, reusable, scalable and reliable front-end interfaces Architecting the web component library Write clean code to develop functional web applications Troubleshoot and debug applications Perform UI tests to optimize performance Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications Identify bottlenecks, bugs and devise solutions to these problems Help maintain code quality, organization and automation, i.e. automated testing Follow emerging technologies Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging Collaborate with designers to develop pixel perfect components Collaborate with back-enders to develop pixel perfect interfaces Maintain code and write tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality. Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features Gather and address technical and design requirements Stay up-to-date with the latest tools, trends and technologies. Core Competencies The successful candidate for this job will be enthusiastic about the responsibilities above, and will have a skillset which complements the job well, including: Solid understanding of object-oriented programming Solid understanding of web components Proficient understanding of code versioning tools Ability to implement automated testing platforms and different kind of tests Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a component library Excellent understanding of front-end technologies and platforms. Stickler for high-quality code and clean architecture. Excellent analytical and time management skills Comfortable working in an Agile way, and to self-manage tasks and work flow Required Skills & Experience BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field Minimum of 5 years working experience ideally with digital agencies or tech start-ups.
