We are seeking a Front-End Developer (Design Systems Specialist) with a passion for clean design, scalable architecture, and reusable code. You'll work at the intersection of design and engineering, building a world-class frontend framework that drives consistency across products and teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive design system, including reusable component libraries, style guides, and documentation.
Build and maintain a Storybook instance with thorough documentation and live interactive examples.
Architect and implement hybrid design system strategies using both Close Props API and Component API.
Build reusable, accessible components with React and Radix UI, ensuring WCAG AA compliance.
Develop UI components integrated with Uniform and Contentstack for hyper-personalized digital experiences.
Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, product managers, and engineers to define and implement component specifications.
Write clean, maintainable code with best practices in React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS Modules, and JavaScript.
Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and contribute to process improvements.
Stay up to date with front-end trends, tools, and best practices
Requirements
3+ years of experience in front-end development, with a focus on design systems.
Strong expertise in React.js, including hooks, context API, and modern state management (e.g., Redux, React Query).
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining a design system in Storybook.
Familiarity with Close Props API and Component API strategies for flexible component development.
Experience working with Radix UI and creating accessible UI components.
Integration experience with headless CMS platforms, especially Contentstack and digital experience platforms like Uniform.
Solid understanding of WCAG AA accessibility standards.
Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
A portfolio showcasing past design system work is required
Bonus Points:
Proficiency in TypeScript.
Experience with testing tools like Cypress, Jest, or React Testing Library.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps workflows.
Contributions to open-source design systems or UI libraries.
In-depth knowledge of Storybook plugins and custom configurations
Working Conditions:
Type of job: Temporary Contractor - 1 year with the possibility to extend
Work hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
