A Front Sales Officer typically works on the front lines of the sales process, serving as the first point of contact between customers and the company. Key Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction:
Greet and engage with customers in a friendly, approachable manner.
Identify customer needs and provide tailored recommendations.
Answer customer inquiries regarding products, services, pricing, and promotions.
Sales Support:
Assist customers in making purchasing decisions and guide them through the buying process.
Promote and upsell relevant products or services to meet sales targets.
Maintain knowledge of current products, services, and promotions to inform and advise customers.
Sales Transactions:
Process sales transactions, handle payments (cash, card, or online), and issue receipts.
Ensure accurate record-keeping of customer orders and sales data.
Manage returns and exchanges, adhering to company policies.
Customer Service:
Resolve customer complaints or issues with a calm and solution-oriented approach.
Provide post-purchase support to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
Product Display and Inventory Management:
Assist with product displays and ensure merchandise is well-organized and presentable.
Monitor inventory levels, alerting the team to stock shortages or overstock.
Reporting and Feedback:
Maintain sales logs and report performance to supervisors.
Provide feedback to the sales or marketing teams regarding customer trends, preferences, and competitor activity.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to achieve company sales goals.
Participate in sales campaigns, events, or promotional activities when needed.
Admin Support:
Handle basic administrative duties such as filing, scheduling, and managing customer data.
Assist in managing customer databases and following up on leads or pending sales.
