Summary

Education: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. Experience: Preferably 1+ years of experience in a high-volume bariatric practice or primary care practice. DUTIES: Greet and assist patients and other guests in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner. Accurately and efficiently record and update patient information in an electronic medical record (EMR). Cleaning and staging of lobby throughout the day. Process cash and credit co-payments/deductibles payments. Scheduling and coordinating appointments. Complete appointment confirmations. Consolidate/Report all payments made to practice each day and submit to manager for review. Patient interaction via phone, email and face to face Coordinating with various staff to ensure patient requests are handled appropriately and timely. Maintain and track front end office supply inventory. Rooming patients and taking vital signs. Perform other duties as assigned. JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: A positive and energetic attitude, service and team orientation. A desire to contribute to building and maintaining a great organization, inspiring team members. Possess excellent organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively, balance multiple tasks, set priorities, and solve problems. Strong proficiency in Microsoft software products such as OneDrive, Word and Excel. Prior experience using EMR strongly preferred. Must have reliable, independent transportation in order to travel to various locations during any given shift. Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment. Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system. Skill in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner. Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public. Must be well organized and detail oriented. Ability and willingness to treat all patients with the utmost kindness and consideration in the most trying situations Sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for prolonged periods of time.
