Front Desk Associate
Reports To: Community Advocacy and Family Services Director
Salary: $22 per hour
Job Status: Full Time (40 Hours Per Week)
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am -5:30pm
Position Overview: The Front Office Program Customer Experience Specialist will provide support to t several departments including Energy Services & Weatherization, Youth Services, Vita and PADNET. This position will require a professional work ethic with the ability to multitask while providing excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Greet and answer customers questions, cleani visitor area, open and or close the visitor area
· Review applicant documentation to verify eligibility
· Enters and tracks customer data into the data processing system
· Process and complete customer online and in person applications.
· Provided back up assistance to the LHEAP customer appointments.
· Process applications for various programs including but not limited to LHEAP and Youth Services
· Assisting the Vita (Tax Services) department with scheduling and greeting customers.
· Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents.
· Perform a variety of clerical duties.
· May also assist with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating.
Other Duties:
Minimum Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· 1 year of experience working with social services programs , non profit, or related fields
· 2 year of customer service, or crisis managment experience
· Strong time management and organization skills
· Bilingual required (Spanish )
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Excellent customer service and skills and experience with diverse populations
· Read and comprehend relevant contracts, regulations, policy, procedures, management directives, and other appropriate program information.
· Ability to make decisions in standard procedural matters without immediate supervision.
· Ability to complete multiple tasks in a timely manner.
· Perform work duties with an appropriate level of proficiency required by the
job in word processing, email, calendar, spreadsheet, database and
presentation applications, including but not limited to, recent versions of
Windows, MS office, and the Internet.

Work Environment:
Work is performed in an office environment; frequent contact with other staff and public; moderate level of noise. The nature of this position may also require to working outdoors in all weather conditions including wet, hot, and cold.
Physical Demands:
Position requires sitting, standing, walking on level and unleveled surfaces, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, stooping, squatting, and crouching in the performance of daily activities. The position also requires near, far, and color vision when assisting in activities of program participants.
Additionally, the position requires grasping, repetitive hand movement, and fine coordination when writing and typing announcements and advertisements and providing instructions.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibility
Travel Requirements:
Limited travel in the service area may be required for training
