As the FPGA Platform and Solutions Applications Engineering Manager in the Customer Enabling Group of Altera, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experience to our customers and partners by understanding, anticipating and satisfying their needs, so that we inspire innovation, accelerate customer success and grow revenue.
Responsibilities
You will lead a team of FPGA Factory Applications Engineers with the focus on
FPGA platform and solutions. The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Representing customer voice in influencing internal teams to continuously improve quality, usability and debuggability of our products and solutions
- Identifying and developing customer-facing deliverables (technical collateral, system example designs, demos, trainings)
- Ensuring product readiness from quality and usability perspective
- Providing best-in-class technical support to resolve issues escalated to Factory
- Attracting, engaging, developing and retaining talents while inspiring innovations in the team
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in semi-conductor industry (including a minimum of 5 years FPGA related experience)
- Experience in FPGA applications, example designs as well as FPGA Design Software and tools
- Familiar with embedded software development and software stack for FPGA systems
- Experience in people management and organization development
- Able to work with cross-functional teams to drive technical/strategic discussions and determine necessary solutions
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Good technical skill in FPGA technologies including EMIF, I/O, PCIe, Ethernet and hard/soft processors is an advantage
- Experience in engaging/enabling/supporting customers is a strong plus
