About this position SeeScan is seeking an FPGA Hardware Engineer to join our team. This is a fully onsite position located in San Diego. Compensation The salary range for our FPGA Hardware Engineer position is $135,000 to $185,000 annually. This range represents a good faith estimate based on the qualifications we expect to find in a successful candidate. Actual compensation offered may be less or greater than this estimate based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, our assessment of your ability to bring value to our organization. We are looking for a long-term, in-house teammate to join us, not a contractor or consultant. In this position, you will * Work as a member of the FPGA Hardware team on our imaging and/or DSP systems * Advocate for and demonstrate the validity of your designs using analysis tools such as Python, Matlab, LTSpice, PSpice, etc. * Collaborate with mechanical, software, and test/manufacturing engineers to successfully bring a product from conception to market Your skills * Circuit analysis * Hands-on electronic troubleshooting * Video, image sensors and imaging systems * DSP hardware (Verilog) implementation * Electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and network analyzers * Digital modulation schemes * Python * LTSpice/PSpice/QSpice, COMSOL Your background * BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related * Prior experience as an FPGA Hardware or FPGA Design Engineer About you * Comfortable in a dynamic design environment with changing priorities and moving targets * Effective and efficient troubleshooter * Abstract "outside the box" thinker * Independent learner and willing teacher Our company culture Working at SeeScan is unlike working for other companies of our size.
