They are an early-stage startup on a mission to foundationally redefine marketing for the modern age. As they scale, we need a Founding Platform Engineer to architect and scale the non-AI components of our platform, including API integrations, core infrastructure, marketplace technology, and platform reliability.

What You'll Be Doing At Averi:

As a Founding Platform Engineer, you'll have massive ownership over the product infrastructure and engineering culture as we scale. You will take full ownership of Averi’s platform architecture, building and scaling its core infrastructure, API integrations, and marketplace technology. You’ll design high-performance cloud infrastructure on AWS, develop and manage third-party integrations, and optimize backend services for scalability and reliability. Your work will ensure seamless interactions between AI workflows and the broader platform while implementing best practices for security, observability, and performance. As the team grows, you’ll play a key role in shaping the engineering culture and mentoring future engineers.

You Should Only Apply If:

You have 5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack engineering, ideally at startups or high-growth companies.

• You are highly proficient in TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
• You have experience building and scaling APIs using REST, GraphQL, or tRPC.
• You have worked with Prisma ORM or similar database abstraction layers.
• You understand authentication, authorization, and security best practices (e.g., NextAuth, JWT, OAuth).
• You have experience with React Query, Mantine UI, TailwindCSS, and integrating frontend-backend systems.
• You have experience working with AWS cloud services and CI/CD pipelines.

You Should NOT Apply If:

• You don’t have experience with TypeScript, Node.js, or PostgreSQL.
• You lack familiarity with Next.js, API development, and authentication frameworks
• You haven’t worked with modern backend frameworks like tRPC, Prisma, or Express.
• You don’t have experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines.
